Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? This Deputy Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a children’s residential home, supporting children aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
You’ll work closely with the Service Manager to deliver high-quality care, lead a compassionate team, and provide a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. The role combines therapeutic care with outdoor and physical activities such as kayaking, hill walking, and rock climbing, helping young people build trust, confidence, and resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in line with individual care plans.
- Lead and supervise staff to ensure effective care delivery.
- Plan and participate in outdoor/physical activities to engage young people.
- Act as a positive role model to support growth and recovery.
- Maintain up-to-date care plans, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with professionals to provide holistic care.
- Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing for all residents.
Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential).
- Minimum 1 year of Senior-level experience in residential childcare.
- Naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
