Medical Director Clinical Development
Location: Massachusetts / Remote Flexibility
This clinical stage biotechnology company aims to produce treatments for kidney diseases as well as other rare diseases.They do this by using precision antibody therapies with the end goal of producing a product that can be used to treat these conditions. The company are currently developing products that are at pre-clinical through to phase 2 and the areas they treat range from chronic pain to transplant rejection. This organization has just been acquired by their parent company which gives them the funding to grow and develop new products.
They take a new approach to discovering antibodies by identifying and characterizing the silco in a selected disease. This eliminates the need to screen antibodies randomly or against specific disease targets allowing them to have a more efficient and effective approach.
Due to the companys exponential growth, they now have the need for a Director Clinical Development to help them develop their extensive pipeline. You will report directly to the Vice President Clinical Development and will have room to grow long term.
Responsibilities
Provide a medical and scientific insight into the clinical development groups
Report to the vice president with findings of the trails
Work closely with the regulatory team to maintain and develop the strategy and documentation needed
Provide leadership to clinical development groups
Design clinical development plans and lead clinical development mostly in the nephrology and immunology/rheumatology areas
Write case report forms using the clinical data from the clinical protocols
Supervise and produce theclinical study reports
Work with key opinion leaders to develop the product
Work with other teams across the organization and with different departments
Write and carry out protocols and clinical development plans for early and late phase
Ensure Safety is adhered to during the trail process
Present findings and data to the senior management team and prepare data and manuscripts and congress presentations
Requirements
MD Degree
Board Certified in Nephrology or Rheumatology
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not essential
Knowledgeable in immunopathological renal disease or basic immunology experience
Limited travel may be required to attend some events
Strong written and communication skills
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask required
