They are currently seeking a driven and dedicated Senior Children's Support Worker to work in a Children's Residential Home setting. As a senior support worker, you assist people with various physical challenges to improve their quality of life and independence
The role of the Senior Support worker will be to:
- Lead the team of care assistants they are responsible for and train new staff
- Have ownership of the care plan, including the creation of the care plan and its delivery
- Monitor general health and vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure
- Communicate with families about their relative’s progress
- Deliver activities to stimulate and engage residents
- Fill in medication reports
- Assist residents in dressing, washing and using the bathroom
- Serve meals and assist with feeding when required
To qualify for this role, you must have the following:
- Have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Childrens and Young People
- Be a driver with a clean UK Driving Licence
- Full DBS in place
- Must have previous Ofsted experience and a minimum of 1 year experience working within a Children's Residential Home setting
