Job Title: Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home

About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Solihull, supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to step into a leadership role, guiding a team in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the daily operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision.
Work directly with children to provide person-centered support tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Collaborate with families, external agencies, and the management team to ensure cohesive care delivery.
Requirements:
Experience in a children’s residential care setting, preferably working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (Level 4 desirable).
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
