As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a team to provide high-quality care to children and young people. You will contribute to their emotional, physical, and social development while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver excellent care.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Promote a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.
- Support children with daily routines, education, and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with company policies.
- Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies as needed.
- Assist in staff training and development.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards completion).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
