Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: Up to £45,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a team and oversee the operations of a Children’s Residential Home located in Hayling Island. The role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care and support, fostering independence, dignity, and well-being for the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality care, ensuring that the progress made by the children is outstanding.
- Overseeing day-to-day management of the home and strategic planning for its development.
- Leading a team, alongside other professionals, to provide therapeutic care tailored to the individual needs of each child, aiming for the best outcomes.
- Acting as a positive role model to staff and children, fostering trust and promoting growth and change.
- Mentoring staff, organizing work patterns, facilitating care-focused training to QCF Level 3, conducting performance reviews, and appraisals.
- Managing service development, budgets, and financial performance for the home.
- Ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of all children and young people in the home.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior-level role within a similar environment.
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Achieved or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Management qualification).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures, such as The Children Act 1989 and Children’s Home Regulations.
- Experience in managing budgets and financial resources.
- A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties when required.
