Natural Product Chemist
Cpl Life Sciences have partnered with a pioneering company transforming natural product drug discover, harnessing plant biosynthetic tools to create novel small-molecule drugs. We seek a Natural Product Chemist to lead purification pipelines and structural characterisation of bioactive molecules from plant extracts. You'll work with cutting-edge technology for extraction, purification, and analysis, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
• Extract and purify small molecules from plant material
• Characterise complex molecular structures
• Optimise purification processes
• Collaborate across scientific disciplines
Essential Qualifications
• PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• Expertise in LCMS, HPLC, and NMR (1D & 2D) for natural product purification and characterisation
• Strong problem-solving and independent research skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills
• Experience in metabolomics for compound identification
• Knowledge of terpenoids or similar molecules
• Proficiency in purifying small quantities from complex extracts
