As a Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential Home, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and the wider team to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations of the home.
- Leading and supervising the care team, ensuring effective staff management, mentoring, and support.
- Overseeing the implementation of individual care plans and ensuring children receive person-centered care.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Managing and developing a dedicated team, ensuring a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Monitoring and supporting staff performance and conducting regular supervisions.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
- Managing rotas and budgets as required.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare.
- NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience in managing and mentoring staff.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
