More About the Role
Working from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to the young people in collaboration with the Service Manager. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides a safe, often life-changing experience and a loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a Registered Manager.
Our Activity and Intervention services offer a twelve-week program for young people who require alternative accommodation to break the cycle of their circumstances. During their stay, young people participate in various adventurous activities designed to restore their self-confidence, build trust, and establish positive relationships with highly trained and experienced adults.
The Activity services provide short-term 2-1 activity placements using outward-bound activities to engage the young people in our care. There is a strong emphasis on outdoor and physical activities, including mountain biking, adventurous jumping, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hill walking, rock climbing, and bouldering. The activity teams offer support across different locations within the local area and surrounding countryside.
As part of the team, alongside other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support each individual child needs. You will act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that promote recovery, growth, and lasting change. You’ll support children and young people aged 8–18 who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties in a residential children’s home environment.
This role requires resilience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with young people. You will receive all the training and ongoing support you need to thrive in this position and to progress in your career, with clear opportunities for advancement into senior roles.
If you’re ready for a rewarding position where no two days are the same, and where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!— we’d love to hear from you.
