We are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a children's residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Support and supervise staff, providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to ensure a positive and therapeutic environment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to the needs of young people
- Ensure safeguarding procedures, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies are effectively implemented
- Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Lead on staff training, development, and performance to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 in Leadership & Management desirable or willingness to work towards it)
- Strong experience in a children's residential care setting, preferably in a leadership or senior role
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home
