We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the effective running of our children’s residential home, providing a safe, caring environment where young people can thrive and develop independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the welfare and development of young people, ensuring adherence to Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Supervise and support staff to maintain high standards of care and professional practice.
Lead on staff training, appraisals, and development plans to enhance team performance.
Support the implementation of individual care plans and collaborate with external professionals, including social workers and schools.
Ensure accurate record-keeping, attend care reviews, and make necessary referrals to external agencies.
Monitor and maintain the home’s environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
Play an active role in recruitment, induction, and staff management to ensure optimal staffing levels.
What We’re Looking For:
Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it).
Proven experience in children’s residential care with strong leadership skills.
A sound understanding of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes Regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
