Background
Due to high projected growth over a 2 year period (30-50 roles per year), Kymab made the decision to find a single staffing business to support them, they were looking for a truly consultative relationship with a partner who had knowledge and expertise across all functions and job roles.
Following a successful pitch, Cpl Life Sciences were selected as Kymab’s staffing partner of choice (out of around 5 agencies). We were successful due to being a genuinely knowledgeable expert in each of our core functions; a pure-play life science staffing solutions business. We could also offer valuable services alongside recruitment that for a growing business will support them as a true partner.
Actions
PHASE I: On-site Program Lead embedded into the Kymab systems and culture. The Program Lead is responsible for the end to end recruitment process for all their positions, and has key deliverables on headcount targets, time to hire and cost to hire. With over 5 years’ experience in Life Science recruitment they were able to guide line-management and HR on market circumstances, best-practice interview processes, salary benchmarks, assisting with job descriptions, industry/role specific targeted marketing programs, ATS training & more.
PHASE II: Establishing a fully functional ATS to record, track and measure deliverables, as well as refining a future PSL where needed.
PHASE III: Account Manager to work on developing Kymab brand in the market and delivering candidate packs and exceptional experience in recruitment process.
Outcome
We successfully filled all vacancies to-date (90% CP), roles across Pre-Clinical, Research, Translational Medicine, Development, Clinical, Admin, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, HR, Quality and also successfully undertook Executive Search assignments. Cpl Life Sciences had four weeks exclusivity on each position before the decision was made on whether to release to Kymab’s 2nd Tier agencies. Cpl Life Sciences manage all relationships with direct applicants and 2nd tier agencies.
